"[The Bahamas] is so expansive and so absolutely beautiful, I think one of the reasons why we know that aliens have never come to Earth is because they would've all been here in The Bahamas. If you're going to land somewhere on Earth, you would land in the most appealing place from space," joked NASA astronaut Scott Kelly when he spoke to science and technology students from local high schools and The College of The Bahamas.
Scott Kelly spent a year on the International Space Station, the longest consecutive time anyone has spent in space. He describes The Bahamas as "the most beautiful place from space" and shared dozens of photos of The Bahamas, especially The Exumas during that time. After his arrival back to Earth, he was invited by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to visit.
