Harvest Moon

Norman's Cay

Harvest Moon, Norman’s Cay, The Exumas

Off-the-grid estate on a remote island

Off-the-grid project on Norman’s Cay. Harvest Moon is completely self-sufficient with 50,000 gallon cistern for rainwater collection and a 53 KW solar panel field which provides constant power to a 7,000 sqft main house, two x 1,200 sqft gueshouses and 1,500 sqft caretaker’s quarters.

The structure was built using Quadlock, a brand of insulated concrete formwork. Mark Moyle was a senior founding partner of a startup construction company that focused on cutting-edge and alternative technologies. Mark performed and subcontracted Harvest Moon as well as several other projects throughout the Bahamas. This included working alongside industry leaders in energy-efficient design and the implementation of alternative energy systems and other ‘green’ technologies.

Harvest Moon was built along with our partner Out Island Energy. Visit their website for more in-depth detail on the off-the-grid solar aspect of this project.

“First and foremost it all begins with Mark Moyle. Mark delivered on his word. Mark is a great communicator, honest and fair businessman and very importantly a skilled and knowledgeable builder. Mark delivered what he promised on time or earlier. As with any building project challenges can quickly delay and add cost. Mark was pro-active in thinking ahead to elevate those costly delays or work stoppage. I could not have asked for a better person to build our family compound.” – Bruce Griffin, Owner
